GFI Software, a provider of cloud communications solutions for small businesses, announced the release of its GFI MAX Managed Antivirus solution featuring the latest VIPRE anti-malware technology.
The company has also unveiled a free malware removal service for MSPs.
GFI Software has seen strong adoption of Managed Antivirus as result of the combination of the power of the VIPRE technology, ease of deployment from the dashboard and low overhead compared to other products on the market.
The new security solution offers further improvements in the level of security with no downside in system performance, the company says.
“We are backing our claims with a free malware removal service – in the unlikely event that malware does get onto an MSP customer site protected by VIPRE, then our technicians will carry out full remediation – at our cost,” said Alistair Forbes, general manager of the GFI MAX business unit, in a statement.
Malware protection in GFI MAX is already used by MSPs to protect more than 250,000 endpoints worldwide. The solution is based on the award-winning VIPRE from ThreatTrack Security and can be delivered as a standalone service or as part of the GFI MAX RemoteManagement portfolio.
Managed service providers using the latest version of GFI MAX Managed Antivirus will now get a malware removal service FREE of charge, the company said. The anti-rootkit technology is capable of handling even the hardest to detect malware.
With managed antivirus provided as an integrated solution, GFI MAX allows MSPs to easily deploy antivirus agents on machines throughout their customers’ networks, as well as to monitor, manage, report on and remediate any issues from a single dashboard, further capitalizing on the growing demand for managed security solutions.
The low-impact VIPRE anti-malware technology allows GFI MAX partners to minimize the overhead that the solution has on their customers’ systems, ensuring that their end users remain productive as well as protected.
For the MSP, deployment is the easiest in the industry via the integrated Competitive Agent Removal Tool (CART), which automates the removal of existing antivirus agents, freeing up resources within the MSP.
Further, by integrating the VIPRE antivirus technology to the GFI MAX platform, MSPs can provide their customers with holistic management of their networks. In addition to managed antivirus, GFI MAX MSPs are equipped to provide remote monitoring and management, patch management and managed online backup from a single dashboard.
“VIPRE’s easy deployment, small footprint and robust detections make it an ideal managed antivirus service for MSPs,” said ThreatTrack Security chief executive officer Julian Waits, Sr. “It is exciting for ThreatTrack Security to continue collaborating with GFI MAX, bringing to market services that enable MSPs to grow their businesses by offering their customers comprehensive defense against online threats.”
