eAcceleration is an esteemed computer software business whose StopSign Protection, a self-described “complete computer security” solution, provides users with an all-in-one Internet security complete with anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall and popup blockers. The only thing, however, is that to stay on top, the company needed to stay up-to-date with its software for continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. For this, the company turned to award-winning industry leader GFI Software.
This week, the two signed up a licensing agreement to further enhance eAcceleration’s StopSign Web protection software suite using the GFI’s VIPRE Client SDK, which proved to be just the boost it needed.
“In the end GFI’s software was the clear winner,” eAcceleration enthused. Even more, Director of Software Development at eAcceleration, Josh Lizon, explained how they settled upon GFI. “We evaluated several threat engines using standardized criteria and found that the GFI engine provides the best balance of detection and removal of threats combined with a small memory footprint and lightning fast scan speeds.”
eAcceleration CFO Ed Ahrens also commented on the new agreement, saying, “We are extremely pleased to announce our new alliance with GFI Software to utilize their award-winning threat scanner. With this major upgrade to StopSign, it will be hard to find a more effective and robust security product.”
Furthermore, Julian Waits, vice president of GFI Software’s Advanced Technology Group (News - Alert), explained on behalf of the company how it puts its top priorities first, saying, “We understand the vital role that anti-malware plays in this particular era of cyber security, and with the latest version of our SDK we offer the most cutting-edge security technologies we have to companies like eAcceleration so they can make the security of their software automatic, effective and also provide peace of mind to their customers.”
