GFI MAX Integrates Cloud Services Depot's NOC Services into its Remote Management Program
GFI MAX RemoteManagement is a hosted remote management and monitoring (RMM) tool with antivirus and backup software, designed specifically for IT Support Companies and MSPs by industry leader GFI Software. In an effort to expand the capabilities of this award-winning remote management and monitoring tool, GFI MAX has teamed up with Cloud Services Depot for its Network Operations Center (NOC (News - Alert)) services.
Cloud Services Depot is known for its cloud integration services, private-label help desk and project and Network Operations Center (NOC) services. The strategic alliance with Cloud Services Depot will ultimately allow GFI to add Cloud Services Depot’s NOC services to its managed services program.
As part of the alliance, GFI customers’ network infrastructure will be monitored around the clock by Cloud Services Depot's NOC team of highly skilled engineers, which will help identify and remediate problems well before users are affected. With this strategic alliance, resellers now have a turnkey, best-of-breed solution to deliver 24/7 services for break/fix and managed services clients.
To keep managed systems optimized and secure, the NOC team configures GFI MAX RemoteManagement software on each supported device. The servers, workstations and other network devices are also monitored via GFI MAX alerts and alarms.
Additional services provided by the NOC team include performing basic system administration; managing Microsoft operating systems and application patches and service packs; and updating third party applications, such as Adobe (News - Alert) and Java using GFI MAX's industry-leading patch management capabilities.
General Manager of the GFI MAX Business Unit, Dr. Alistair Forbes, elaborated in a statement just how crucial this new union will be for managed service providers to fully optimize their network monitoring and management, saying, “Continuous monitoring of the health of client networks and the ability to respond quickly are key capabilities for any IT services organization, but they often require 24/7 staffing and a broad base of expertise to resolve different types of technical issues. By leveraging NOC services in combination with GFI MAX RemoteManagement, MSPs can outsource routine infrastructure management to a dedicated team of system administrators and keep internal resources focused on delivering superior customer service and growing the managed services practice.”
The two partners are also planning to jointly host a webinar on December 6, 2012 to outline their services integration and discuss how it benefits the managed services community.
