GFI MAX Achieves 30 Percent Increase in Customer Base in Just Eight Months
By Madhubanti Rudra TMCnet Contributor
Cloud communications contenders can learn a lot from GFI Software, a provider of IT software and hosted services for network security, e-mail security and management, Web monitoring and security for SMBs, who recently reported a 30 percent increase in the use of its GFI MAX RemoteManagement portfolio in the managed service space.
With more than 6,000 managed service providers (MSPs) now using this integrated MSP platform, GFI MAX reinforces the company’s position as a major player in the MSP space and commands an increasing share of channel sales.
GFI MAX RemoteManagement's enables MSPs to offer services that are easy to deploy by allowing customers to pay as they go without fear of vendor lock-in.
Earlier this year, the company announced that it had doubled its GFI MAX customer base to 5,000 in just two years. The latest achievement shows that the company managed to continue its growth momentum.
With more than 500,000 customers in 125 countries worldwide utilizing this managed service platform every month, it’s no wonder GFI manages to stay ahead of the game. The platform is furthermore capable of facilitating over 2.5 million automated maintenance tasks and over 175 million monitoring checks running per month.
In addition, nearly four million remote access sessions have been supported by GFI MAX's Take Control feature, which providers use for 24/7 access to remote computers or servers without the need for a user at the customer's site.
The GFI MAX platform also helps protect against external security threats that could cripple a network and lead to theft of important company information. More than 500,000 threats are quarantined each month by GFI MAX Managed Antivirus. Meanwhile, GFI MAX MailProtection has stopped more than five billion spam messages from reaching customer networks over the past year, according to a press release.
MSPs seeking to scale their business, boost recurring revenues and free up resources are undoubtedly benefiting from GFI MAX.
“We have seen a tremendous amount of growth in our GFI MAX customer base over the past six months alone, with interest from MSPs across the board – from large, established and ambitious MSPs to mid-sized MSPs making the Break/Fix to managed services transition as well as eager startups,” General Manager of the GFI MAX Business Unit, Alistair Forbes, noted in a statement. “From day one, we have been focused on not only providing the technology that our partners need to serve the demands of their customers, but also to provide those services on a platform that offers the greatest flexibility possible to fit the needs of companies of all sizes and business models.”
GFI MAX's recently launched Managed Online Backup service is also seeing huge uptake. This new service allows automated off-site file back up and easy restore to be included as part of the MSP's service portfolio, managed centrally from the MAX MSP platform dashboard.
In other news, GFI Software announced enhancements for GFI WebMonitor, one of the industry's leading Web security solutions for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). The solution now includes several new features that put valuable productivity, bandwidth and security data in the hands of relevant stakeholders throughout the company.
