Q4 Enables Cloud-Based Fuel Monitoring from a Central Location
By Anuradha Shukla TMCnet Contributor
Quadrant4 Systems Corporation (Q4) is enabling cloud-based fuel monitoring from a central location, which allows real-time response to disasters, with the launch of its Oil & Gas practice with specific focus on Telemetrics.
Quadrant4 Systems notes that its new release uses extensive Open Source (News - Alert) technologies that include Linux, Pentaho, and Hadoop and runs on an Amazon EC2 cloud platform. Q4's cloud-based Telemetrics platform can be deployed on smart mobile devices that run on Android and BlackBerry (News
- Alert) operating systems.
Quadrant4 Systems delivers end-to-end information technology solutions to its clients through a unique blend of consulting, software development and maintenance, cloud-based products and technology from its global delivery centers.
Elaborating on its cloud-based Telemetrics platform, Q4 said that the solution easily addresses challenges in the areas of oil tanks and storage, oil flow, and oil transportation. Q4 has included a range of features in the platform such as remote measurement, real-time analytics, multiple sensors, and application diversity.
Remote measurement allows measurement of readings remotely without physical inspection while real-time analytics is a cloud-based dashboard for real-time analytics from a remote location. The solution includes multiple sensors such as flow and level sensors for a range of applications. Application diversity enables measurement of flow and levels on pipelines, storage tanks and vehicles.
“The industry typically operates unmanned oil rigs that continuously pump crude from remote wells and can't afford potential leaks that will lead to environmental disaster and huge loss of goodwill,” said Dhru Desai, chairman of the Board of Q4. “Cloud-based monitoring from a central location will allow real-time response to such disasters and will deliver unprecedented ROI to the industry."
Quadrant4 Systems Corporation was in news last week when OTC Special Situations Report, a division of NFC Corp., released updated reports on Quadrant4 Systems Corp. and Attitude Drinks, Inc.
